Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro specs and prices leak - slightly cheaper than the 12 series in Europe

Soon Xiaomi will reveal its first smartphone with a 200MP camera and, unlike the 12S Ultra, it will be available in the West. It is the Xiaomi 12T Pro and will be accompanied by the vanilla 12T variant. Both phones will have a 6.67-inch AMOLED flat screen with a resolution of 1,220 x 2,712 pixels (which you may have seen labeled "1.5K", it fits between FHD+ and QHD+).
The display will have a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5. Xiaomi 12T Pro (left) and 12T (right) differ in the choice of chipset and main camera.

These batteries will also be the same with a capacity of 5,000mAh and 120W fast charger (wired, wireless and wireless). Although both models are expensive, Xiaomi will reduce the cost by switching from a metal frame (as in 12/12S) to a plastic frame. However, where the two phones differ is in the main camera and chipset.

Xiaomi 12T Pro will have a 200MP camera with f / 1.69 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS). This is likely the same Samsung HP1 sensor (1/1.22)) found on the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, except Moto puts it behind a narrower f/1.9 aperture.

The Pro model will also use the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset that is also used in the 12S phone. Here, it will be combined with 8/12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of storage.

Xiaomi 12T Pro

The vanilla Xiaomi 12T will have a 108MP main camera with f / 1.65 aperture (but no OIS, on the front). 12T and 12T Pro will share the rest of the camera modules and they are not impressive - there will be an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP selfie camera on the front.

Instead of a Qualcomm chip, the 12T will be powered by the "Dimensity 8100 Ultra", although it's unclear how that differs from the regular 8100. It will be paired with 8GB of RAM (no 12GB option) and 128/256 GB of storage. Check out the Redmi K50 Ultra, it has similar hardware except that it is based on the 8+ Gen 1 chip. Xiaomi 12T
As you can imagine, the Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro will also have different prices, but the expected value is less than what you will pay for the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro, respectively.

The Xiaomi 12T Pro is said to cost €850 in Europe (which translates to ₹67,500). For comparison, the Xiaomi 12 Pro currently costs €900 on mi.com. Sure, this one has a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide, and 2x 50MP telecamera, plus an AMOLED QHD+ LTPO panel, but it uses an older 8 Gen 1 chipset and has a smaller 4,600mAh battery (and a 120W charger).

The Xiaomi 12T is expected to cost €650 (₹52,000), which is south of what the Xiaomi 12 costs in official stores (€700). However, this one has an 8 Gen 1 chip, which should be better than the Dimensity (even if it's hotter). It comes with a smaller and slower battery (4500mAh, 67W) and a different camera setup (50+13+5MP).

It is expected that the Xiaomi 12T will continue next week and the Pro will enter the 200MP battle against the Moto Edge 30 Ultra (which sells for €900). By the way, a few weeks ago some versions of the Xiaomi 12T Pro appeared and they were connected to the image of the Redmi Pad tablet. There is no guarantee that the Pad will also arrive next week, but we will keep an eye on it.
